Callaghan Demolition operates its own mobile crushing plants to enable all debris such as hardcore and concrete from foundations to be crushed on site for re-use for backfilling, making piling mats and haulage roads around the site.
Our crushers have their own water spray systems to ensure dust emissions are kept to a minimum. We prepare the material before is goes through the crushing plant by cleaning it of wood and plastics and also breaking down larger chunks of concrete and hardcore with a hydraulic breaker attachment on a 360 degree excavator. As the material is passed through the machine and metal is lifted off via a magnet and fresh aggregate is produced ready for use.

On many sites, after foundation removal has finished, it is necessary to compact the left over site material so that it can be built on reducing any chance of subsidence. Each layer is track rolled with an excavator and finally compacted with a vibration roller to achieve maximum compaction.

We currently run a fleet of (Roll on, Roll off) Container bin lorries which allow us to supply each site with the appropriate container for waste products. These include hardcore , rubbish, metal , wood, & hazardous wastes. We are licenced by the EA for the transportation of controlled wastes.
